PALOMA AYALA
1980, Matamoros, Mexico. Lives and works in Zurich.
Currently enrolled in a MFA at the Zurich University of the Arts ZhdK, she received her BFA and a degree in Art Education at the University of Monterrey in Mexico. Has organized community projects in Rochester NY. In Zurich has collaborate in the production of several performances at Tanzhaus Zurich, Rote Fabrik and Cabaret Voltaire. She has participated at the FAR Festival of Art as Research in Germany and has being resident at the artist-in-residency program for D’Clinics Studio in Slovenia, 2013, Gorna Lipnitsa Old School (Bulgaria, 2014). Over the past decade, Paloma’s work has been exhibited in NY, Quebec, Toronto, Manitoba, Z├╝rich, Lendava in Slovenia, Bulgaria, Gorna Lipnitsa, Velo Ternovo and Mexico Her work deals with collaborative processes and interventions in public space. Recent works address the ethical crises in Mexico, acts of violence and violations of human rights.
